Information on passivation of olfactometers
olores.org has recently published an article, which addresses the new requirements for olfactometers specified in the revised European standard for olfactometry EN 13725:2022.
You will be happy to learn that since August 2018, Olfasense has been passivating all of our newly produced olfactometers and pre-dilution systems so that they meet the requirements of the revised EN 13725:2022.
We have verified the new requirements on recovery and response times in a joint type examination with the University of Aarhus using a PTR-MS Trace VOC Analyser as mentioned in the olores.org article.
The study has shown that our TO series olfactometers cover all requirements of subclause 6.2.2 Materials for sample equipment and 6.5.1 Construction of the olfactometer of the EN 13725:2022.
Unfortunately, the above-mentioned technical changes do not apply to all clients who received an Olfasense olfactometer before August 2018. These clients must have their olfactometer passivated if they want to work according to the new EN 13725:2022. We, therefore, offer the service of passivating these olfactometers.
We are ready to explain the essential changes to you in a personal chat. Feel free to connect with our senior sales manager Marc Andresen via email@example.com.
