EN 13725 Proficiency Test 2022

Olfasense invites you to participate in the 2022 edition of our well-established and accredited Proficiency Test for Olfactometry based on EN 13725:2003, demonstrate compliance with its performance requirements, and compare the performance of your laboratory internationally.

The proficiency test allows participating laboratories to ascertain the key performance criteria as defined in EN 13725:2003, specifically:

  • precision under repeatability conditions r, and
  • accuracy A for 1-butanol.

Showing to fulfill these performance criteria within a proficiency test is a powerful statement for you to foster the confidence of the users of your laboratory services.

In addition to the familiar 1-butanol samples, this year there is also the option to additionally measure samples of Tetrahydrothiophen (THT), which will give your lab the possibility to compare performance for real samples with other participating laboratories.

The measurements for the proficiency test need to be carried out between August 29th and September 9th, 2022, inclusive.

Please confirm your participation by May 27th, 2022, at the latest. The more economical early bird registration ends by April 8th, 2022.

Important note: The implementation procedure and success criteria of the proficiency test for olfactometry according to EN 13725:2003 apply unchanged to the new version EN 13725:2022. This is noted separately in the certificates of participation and reports of this year’s proficiency test.
