Experience in odour assessments and dispersion modelling is desirable but not essential as full training and mentoring will be given.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The role will involve management and delivery of technical odour survey and impact assessment reports for a wide range of clients in the UK.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Effective project management and client liaison skills are essential.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Who we are<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.olfasense.com\/uk\/\">Olfasense UK Ltd<\/a> is part of the Olfasense group, which is a world leader in odour measurement and consultancy. We operate two UKAS-accredited odour laboratories and provide a full range of odour sampling, analysis and assessment services. These capabilities are supplemented by a world-class molecular assessment laboratory and product development centre located in Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our mission is to assist industry to solve odour problems and drive the development of new and innovative odour assessment techniques in a growing area of environmental science.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our client base includes high-profile national and international companies across a diverse range of industrial sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will take a lead role in the delivery of odour assessment studies and expert advice, as well as seeking new opportunities and building client relationships. The key responsibilities of the role will include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preparation \/ design of proposals to meet specific client objectives.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Project management and preparation\/delivery of high-quality technical reports.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordination of site survey and laboratory analysis personnel as part of project delivery.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Undertaking dispersion modelling studies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data analysis, interpretation and problem solving.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Building and maintaining strong client relationships.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mentoring and supervision of junior staff.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The majority of the company\u2019s work is in the UK and Ireland. However, there may be opportunities to travel further afield as part of Olfasense\u2019s global projects team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Experience and personal characteristics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3-5+ years experience within the environmental consultancy sector, or similar organisation (preferably in relation to odour or air quality).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proven project management skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to prepare high-quality technical reports on time and budget.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Track record of client focussed project work.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience in the application of dispersion models for impact assessment is desirable.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">High level of numeracy and computer literacy. Excellent verbal and written English with proven reporting skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Confident communicator, both orally and in writing.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conscientious and self-starting, with a strong technical ability to review and interpret data.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An effective team player, with a passion for what you do.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligibility to work in the UK.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Education, Qualifications, Memberships:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A minimum of a BSc degree in a relevant (scientific) discipline.
