Standardised VDA 270 training kit
The standardised VDA 270 training kit is provided in cooperation with car manufacturers such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
The training set consists of 16 samples along with their VDA 270 grades. Knowing the reference grade means that the examiner will get to know and understand the VDA odour measurement scale much better.
Reference materials
Reference materials for this kit were chosen based on an investigation of the stability of the sensory attributes of real materials, and have:
- demonstrated their suitability for preparation purposes
- been characterised and referenced by a laboratory reference group according to their odour emission under VDA 270.
To reach the reference grade, the samples must be prepared for evaluation as described in the VDA 270.
The reference value is based on a consensus value agreed by the parties involved.
